Black. White. Leather. Could a girl possibly want anything more?

With Spring-like temperatures settling down on Arizona, I find myself itching for excuses to be outdoors. One of my favorite things to do in good weather is visit farmers markets. I love selecting fresh flowers for the house and supporting small business by purchasing locally grown and handmade goodies. This past weekend I visited a local market, and brought this amazing tote from Seaport Stitches along with me. I have to say, it has quickly become one of my favorite accessories.

While perusing the local produce, I got stopped about a dozen times for folks to compliment this tote. It's extremely lightweight, but with the high quality leather and craftsmanship, is very sturdy and durable. This bag isn't just for taking to the market though! It can be used for any occasion! It's got lots of space for storage inside, including pockets for your phone, keys, makeup, etc.

I can't wait to use this throughout the seasons! To check out more totes, prints, and styles, visit  Seaport Stitches here and be sure to visit their Instagram as well (@seaportstitches)!

Unconventional Valentine

"You see the depths of my heart and you love me the same."

I've never really been a person completely for, or against Valentine's Day. While I agree we should treat our loved ones extra special every day of the year, I don't think there's anything wrong with a holiday to encourage romance. The only thing I'm not a fan of when it comes to this holiday are the hearts, red roses, and abundance of the color pink. When Brittany LeSueur (my favorite photographer and dear friend) asked Ben and I if we wanted to to a romantic shoot at Camelback Flower Shop, I was all over it. The moody interior and unique florals in the space set the perfect vibe. I know photoshoots like this all seem very staged and made just for likes on Instagram. What you don't see behind the scenes are Ben and I goofing around and enjoying time spent together. I'm incredibly lucky to have a husband who supports crazy things I do and finds the fun in them. The emotions and expressions captured by Brittany in these photos are so spot on.

Since we were in Arcadia, we had to visit our favorite restaurant, La Grande Orange. It was the perfect setting for a date with my best friend. Ben and I had an incredible time enjoying my favorite chocolate pudding (it's to die for!) and a decadent chocolate cupcake with a fresh strawberry in the middle. Also, if anyone is interested in buying me one of the cute townhouses across from LGO, you would make my dreams come true.

Be Bonafide

Breann Bowman

Confession time.

image.jpg
image.jpg

I've thought a lot about what being Bonafide means to me, particularly as a blogger. A lot of people have a skewed version of what a bloggers life is like. Some seem to think it's just a constant party of pretty photoshoots, free clothes, and thousands of followers. The truth is, it isn't that easy or glamorous. For most of us, we still work real full time jobs. We neglect our social lives by replying to the bottomless pit that is our email inbox. Don't even get me started on the crap we put our spouses through. The worst part is the hateful comments that pop up from people who don't know you whatsoever.

Kinda seems like it's crazy right? Why would we even want to do this? Despite the hard work and even harder days, it all pays off in the end. It's so gratifying to get a sweet comment, hear that you've inspired someone, or to make a new insta-friend. So even though I take pictures in a parking garage, with a camera I had to save up for, by a friend I had to bribe with Diet Coke to help, it's worth it. Especially when the lighting is on point!!!

I'm sure by now you guys are wondering what the crap I'm talking about and why I'm posting this "Confession". The truth is, the Internet lacks diversity in the being real and authentic department. We are constantly bombarded with photos and content that's there just for "likes" or new followers. It's rare to find someone being true to who they are on social media and the Internet. That's why I've teamed up to my friends at Be Bonafide to help spread the word to be real, be genuine, be authentic, BE BONAFIDE.

To support this movement check out Be Bonafide online, where you can purchase this tee and several of their other products. You'll also want to stalk their Instagram (@bebonafide) where you can read lots of other confessions and get inspired to be real!

Happiness & Doughnuts

Is there anything happier than having your own box of cake doughnuts? Is say there isn't, unless you're talking about Flybird Apparel and their extra soft tees! Combine the two, and it's one big happy fest!

Wearing color is not something I do on the reg, but I can always make an exception for Flybird. Owners Jules and Rachel started this company with a desire to sell clothing that promoted happy and positive messages. In their few months of being in full production, we have already seen their tees rise in popularity, as well as really driving those uplifting messages home.

Feral Watches

Breann Bowman

Remember that episode of New Girl when Schmidt goes "Hey Jess, have you seen my other timepiece?", and then he has to put money in the jar for being a tool? Well, aside from all the other Schmidt quotes I bombard my friends and family with throughout the day, this is the newest one thanks to Feral Watches

Feral is a women's wrap watch company designed for the free spirit, the creative guru, and anyone who wants an accessory that's far from ordinary. The second I strapped this baby around my wrist, I've had nothing but non-stop compliments. I love how Feral had taken the detail and fun of the wrap band and paired it with such a classic and chic design. Of course I had to have The Jane Watch in black, but there are quite a few other color options and styles.

Being the jewelry and accessory minimalist that I am, I love how the Jane Watch serves as a hybrid stacked bracelet and timepiece. What's even better is the quality of the product. The strap is definitely sturdy, and my husband appreciates that he can't hear the ticking of the second hand - one of our biggest pet peeves in watches and clocks!

Check out and Shop Feral Watches online here, and be sure to pay their Instagram a visit (@feralwatches). They have one of the best feeds I've seen!

2015

Breann Bowman

Looking back on the past year, it's hard to believe 2014 is at a close. It has been, undoubtedly, one of my best years. As I sit here at my desk recalling all the wonderful memories, I feel a surge of gratitude for the many experiences, friendships, heartaches, and blessings that came my way. As the last days of the year dwindle, I am so looking forward to the promise of the new year and the many things in store for days to come.

image.jpg

Today I've compiled two NYE looks wearing the same dress. One is more dressed up, the other casual. It is perfect for anyone transitioning from work to party, or if the party moves around from indoors to outdoors.

The first look is more dressy. I absolutely love this dress from The Gap. With pleats in all the right places, it's stretchy fabric allows for plenty of dancing the night away, yet it's heavy enough that you won't reveal anything too embarrassing. Pair it with a simple leather clutch, red lips, and some strappy heels to start 2015 off without a hitch.

Look number two is a fantastic ensemble that I want to wear almost daily. You can never go wrong with classic black riding boots, a gorgeous leather tote, and black tights to keep you cozy.
