Growing up, I was so jealous of kids whose parents gave them a summer reading list. My parents were on the opposite side of the spectrum, always asking me to put my book down and join the family. Reading is one of my ultimate indulgences. However, working a full time job, blogging, and trying to be a wife and mom to two attention-seeking pugs has made reading a rarity in these parts. In order to keep my sanity, and finally finish the books collecting dust on my nightstand, I'm making myself a summer reading list. I have a deadline to have them all finished by October 1st... because summer in Arizona literally lasts that long!
My goal is to read at least one whole book a month, sprinkled with a few of my favorites in between. I'll do a short post and review of each book and then do a giveaway of the book on my Instagram for all my nerdy bookworm friends! Here's the list:
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green - I already finished this one, and oh my-lanta did I cry!
Night Film by Marisha Pessl - for my Book Club
I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai - I've heard too many good things to let this one pass by
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert - I read this book every summer. I can't help it.
I haven't decided on a fifth book yet, so if you have any suggestions send them my way! I'm seriously so excited about this little summer project of mine and can't wait to read all of these books!
